The Infrared Obstacle Avoidance IR Sensor Module (Active Low) consists of a pair of infrared transmitting and receiving tubes. When the transmitted infrared light waves are reflected back by an obstacle, the receiver tube detects the reflected IR waves. The onboard comparator circuitry processes this signal, and the green indicator LED lights up to indicate detection.
This module features a 3-wire interface with Vcc, GND, and an OUTPUT pin. It operates within a voltage range of 3.3V to 5V. Upon detecting an obstacle or reflection, the output pin generates a digital low-level signal.
